“Connor, stop it. We’re in the middle of a store!”
“I’d kiss you in the middle of lecture if I thought I could get away with it. I can’t be around you for more than thirty minutes without kissing you.”
Rae rolled her eyes, but laughed. Public displays of affection were not her thing, but Connor had no problem letting the world know that they were now dating.
Checking her watch, she said, “It’s only been fifteen minutes.”
He lifted an eyebrow. “Perfect, I get to kiss you again in another fifteen minutes.”
Rae laughed again, “Oh no buddy. The clock has been reset, you’ll have to wait the full thirty.”
When he groaned, she patted him on the shoulder. “And don’t try to be slick, I’m watching you.”
Connor grinned and took her hand, massaging the sensitive tissue between her thumb and forefinger. “I like it when you play hard to get.”
“You’re incorrigible! Let’s just go bowl.” She tried to pull away, but he just wrapped his fingers around hers until they were holding hands.
She’d never admit it, but she liked when he was affectionate in public.
