Antonio put his menu down and watched as Aaliyah looked through the selection of food. A diner. He’d brought her to a diner. En que me meti? She was a princess for crying out loud! As she turned to the lunch section, she began to talk quietly to herself and he thought he heard her say “yum yum.”

“Look, we can go somewhere else…” he began.

She looked up and smiled at him. “No. I like diners. Breakfast and dinner all in the same place. Delicious!”

She was amazing. He’d been so worried that dating someone like her would be difficult. But she had yet to make one complaint. In fact, she seemed to enjoy everything in life. Including being with him.

She was not like he’d thought at all. He grinned and said, “Yum Yum.” Which had the desired effect of making her laugh.
